Make your own CBD Oil- infused Lotions and Creams can treat conditions topically
Ca

Cannabidiol (CBD) is derived from the cannabis plant and differs from its counterpart cannabinoids (THC) in that it does not produce a euphoric high. While it is, therefore, of little interest to recreational cannabis users, CBD is anything but useless! It is rapidly becoming known as a “miracle cure” for many health-related issues. A natural anti-inflammatory, CBD is being studied for a wide variety of uses from treating depression to chronic pain to acne.
Because CBD has so many therapeutic and healing benefits, it is of growing interest to the beauty industry as well. Topical applications of CBD can work wonders for those afflicted with eczema or other irritating skin conditions.
Topical uses of cannabis, versus cannabis that is ingested or smoked by users, are proving to be some of the best natural moisturizers for skin, with incredible healing and anti-aging properties. There are many ways to benefit from CBD lotion applied to the skin, and we’ll walk you through how it can be done in a few easy steps at home with creams you can make yourself.
Start with the Coconut Oil
Next, you will need a high-quality CBD oil. Check products carefully for CBD concentration and remember that cheaper isn’t always the way to go. Don’t be tempted to save a few bucks on a product that ultimately lacks the concentration to provide maximum benefits.
Then to create your own CBD lotion at home, follow these easy steps:
Melt the coconut oil slowly on low heat.
Add as much CBD oil to the coconut oil as desired.
In a separate pot, melt about two inches of beeswax.
Once the beeswax is fully melted, add the coconut-CBD oil mixture slowly and stir carefully until there are no clumps.
If the consistency of the lotion seems too thin, continue to add more beeswax until you reach the desired consistency.
Allow the mixture to cool completely, and then transfer it to an airtight storage container.
It’s as easy as that: you can create an all-natural, healing lotion with a few simple ingredients you may already have on hand!
Experimenting with Scent
While some CBD lotion users prefer the aroma of cannabis and coconut, others may want to infuse aromatherapy oils for some variation in their lotions.
Lavender oil is a great add-in to CBD lotion as it is known to promote healthy sleep habits and also has its own skin-soothing properties. Peppermint oil is also a favorite for stress relief and relaxation; a whiff of peppermint can be a pick-me-up and a mood changer. Whatever scented oil you choose for your lotion, add it at the very end of the recipe to get the maximum, sustained benefit of the chosen scent. Consider making several different batches of CBD lotion so you can try out different scents at different times of day, such as using the lavender CBD cream at bedtime for a restful night’s sleep.
